Enabling and Customizing Push Notifications

Turn on OS-level notifications for the installed app, then choose which HiringCenter events you want.

1. Allow the phone to notify you

iPhone

1. Open HiringCenter from the home-screen icon.
2. When iOS asks, tap Allow.
3. If you dismissed it earlier: Settings → Notifications → HiringCenter → allow alerts, sounds, and banners.
4. Keep Focus / Do Not Disturb on the phone from silently dropping recruiting calls if you need them.

Android

1. Open HiringCenter from the home-screen icon.
2. Allow notifications.
3. If you blocked them: Settings → Apps → HiringCenter → Notifications → on.
4. Allow the notification overlay / display-over-other-apps permission if HiringCenter asks. Incoming-call and Device Handoff prompts use it so they can appear on top of other apps.

2. Choose types in HiringCenter

1. Open Your Profile (profile menu).
2. Enable notifications on this device.
3. Toggle the event types you want. See Push Notifications for the full list.

3. Confirm it works

Ask a teammate to text a prospect conversation you belong to, or have someone join your meeting waiting room. You should get a push on the phone.

If nothing arrives:

• You opened a Safari/Chrome tab instead of the installed app
• The site or OS permission is still blocked
• That notification type is off on Your Profile
• You are not a member of the conversation (unread and some message pushes follow membership)
