Use Personal Number / Email
Queue a text, email, or call so you send it from your phone — your personal number or your phone’s mail app — instead of a HiringCenter identity.
This page used to be called “Use Personal Number / Email.” In the app the feature is Device Handoff.
This is not how you send from Gmail, Outlook, or a work domain inside HiringCenter. For that, use Connected Email & Calendar.
Path: profile menu → Your Profile → Device Handoff
Turn it on
- Open Your Profile.
- Enable Device Handoff.
- Enable push notifications on your phone so you get a prompt when something is queued.
- Install the mobile app (PWA) on that phone.
You can still open Conversations on the phone and send a queued message without push.
Send with Device Handoff
- Conversations → open the prospect → type a text, open Email, or tap Call.
- If no conversation exists, Start Conversation → choose Device Handoff (not HiringCenter Identity).
- Confirm the Device Handoff recipient if asked (usually you).
- Send. The item is queued.
- On your phone, open the Device Handoff prompt or Conversations and complete the send from the native SMS, mail, or phone app.
Admins and owners can queue Device Handoff items for other users. Everyone else can only queue for themselves. Switch to your own Device Handoff conversation to send.
Limits
- Device Handoff emails cannot include attachments. Remove attachments or send from a HiringCenter identity / connected mailbox instead.
- Device Handoff does not send through Google or Microsoft. Recipients see whatever number or address your phone uses.
- If Device Handoff is disabled, the composer shows a tooltip: enable it in Profile.
History
Your Profile includes a Device Handoff history table of queued and completed handoffs.
